“Kaustubh and his dad are excellent hosts. The homemade food reasonably priced and very tasty. They allow furry friends which made our trip awesome as we travelled with 2 dogs on board and generally left them at the room for 4-5 hours (they are trained to stay calm and non destructive) which made lives easy for them as well as us (since dogs weren't allowed on most of public places or traveling with one isn't easy in hot summers). Kaustubh's place is right in front of highway going to Mahabaleshwar, very convenient to go around from here. If we visit Mahabaleshwar again, this is where we plan to stay.”

Built in 1968,this family home welcomes guests from all over the world. It is a capsule of family history and a reflection of colonial architecture of a typical British hill-station in the western ghats. This cottage was once the firewood kitchen and wine cellar that served the main bungalow. A beautiful garden and a natural forest separates the property from the town. Your stay will support local market and crafts in the region.
“Extremely warm and welcoming home. I would’ve loved to stay longer and will definitely go back. It is very clean and comfortable. The cooks and hosts are very responsive and make you feel pampered. I hope we continue to respect such lovely spaces so that we can continue to enjoy them in the future.”
