Krishna House is a homestay and a bed & breakfast owned and operated by a local newar family. Newars are indigenous people of Kathmandu valley well known for rich culture. The property located in the historic Bhaktapur is close to World Heritage of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Taumadhi and Pottery squares. Our aim is to feel guests like a part of family. We try to assist in any way, specially by providing information about Bhaktapur and other destinations in Nepal. We offer genuine Newari meals.
“We spent 11 nights at Krishna's house and had a perfect stay. The owner was very attentive to our needs and always responded positively to our special requests; We are planning to go back to Bhaktapur and will return there. Many spaces in and around the house (garden to enjoy a cool drink bought at the nearby shop, dining room to get some reading done in the cool atmosphere of the sitting-room while it is stifling outside etc. No temple in the immediate vicinity so no bell being rung by local people worshipping 24 h/day! Nice walk through the town to reach the very centre (Durbar square) in less than 10 mn. (many things to be seen and felt too outside the centre!) Thank you to Ajay and his wife.”
Located at Mahamanjushree Nagarkot with a beautiful theme conjugated with nature and local life style stay. Our Cottage was started in 2016 just after devastating earthquake in Nepal. Previously, we built this place to be safe shelter for friends and family. Now 2018 we renovated the space with our own effort, made the space airy and cozy with the concept "No Hampers on Nature". We recycle waste materials for decoration purpose just like waste bottle, dead branch and roots, plastic and many more.
“It's a cozy cabin at the edge of the forest in a quiet and beautiful spot in Nagarkot. A great place away from Kathmandu's noise and dust. Absolutely beautiful forest right at the doorsteps, fun for daily walks. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. They helped us fixing little things around the house, provided battery backup when electricity was off during storms, took us to a market to buy groceries several times. One thing that spoiled our experience a little bit was a construction at a house nearby. We were expecting a quieter environment. Hopefully, it will be over soon. Overall, it's a great place for a getaway from the city.”
Quite and peaceful with balcony and a good rooftop very close to the mainroad of the area. Also you can see the sunset from rooftop and a balcony.
“Shekhars Guest house is very comfortable closed to the best places from Bhaktapur. Very beautiful are the flowers and the roof deck on top of the house, from here you have also best view over the roofs and streets from this lovely town. It was also great to hear from Shekar about the culture, religion, the historic buildings but also the live in his homeland. We have been free to use the kitchen, the washer and it was very comfortable to stay there. Best of all was the cooking lesson, I have enjoyed at my last evening with his lovely family. Just come and look yourself......”
