A newly built, small but practical, self contained annex adjoined to the side of the main house by the side and from the ceiling. It has it's own entrance for privacy and a key safe that allows guests to let themselves in. It's an ideal place for a short term stay and offers good value in a very expensive city. It has a small kitchen area with microwave, toaster, mini fridge and kettle. The annex also has a desk work space and a shower.
“I can't fault this property. It's bigger than the pictures, which was a nice surprise. Lovely clean bathroom with no signs of mold at all. Which is difficult with enclosed bathrooms like this. Really soft mattress. Very well heated. I was pleasantly surprised at how equipped the kitchette was. But most importantly as a young woman traveling alone, I felt safe. The second door outside the property locks from the inside. I also bumped into the host, Paul, who was a really nice guy and made me feel at ease. A few people have complained about the occasional noise through the walls. Personally it didn't bother me at all, and reminded me how safe I was being next to a family home. I would recommend this place to anyone. I'd love to come back in summer.”
self-contained open plan space with own kitchen and bathroom. Situated at the end of Mill Road in a quiet area, with easy access to bus stop (2 min by foot) walking distance to market square city centre 30mins 15mins by bicycle (provided)..
“Roddy's place is tranquil, elegant, beautifully situated by the brook in Cherry Hinton The interior is ultra comfortable, wonderful shower, kitchen design and workspaces perfect modern chic- walking through into the garden-space for coffee is a real treat, a large Pine tree scents the air; :gorgeous. An effortless 5Stars, with superb communication from the ever-helpful Roddy- start to finish.”
Contemporary in design, it provides complete amenities and is close to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Biomedical Campus, ARM & the train station. Parking is also available on the drive for 1 car. For transit around the city there are regular buses mins from the house and space to store bikes.
“The house is a real gem. Well appointed rooms with added touches which makes the stay feel like you're in your own home. The rooms are larger than they look on the photos and we as five adults felt there was enough space not to feel crowded. There is a paved back garden which was pleasant to sit in and got plenty of light. The front drive is great for the car as the road is a little narrow. There is a regular bus service into Cambridge (via the train station) with a stop one minute from the house and a choice of shops, take aways and restaurants. Overall a great place to stay!”
