“Margaret's guest house was so much more than we expected! This century old house is beautifully furnished with antique pieces that belong to different members of the family as well as random pieces of art, also from family members and friends. Everything in the house is very personal and has a story that Margaret was very nice to tell when she welcomed us and gave us a house tour. The backyard was a little oasis, with artificial water falls that provided a relaxing atmosphere, beautiful plants and flowers, decorative lights and different little spaces for you to enjoy. We loved sitting there in the evening after our visit to the salt plains. Margaret was very thoughtful and kept constant and prompt communication with us. She was very nice to talk to and very hospitable. We felt totally home and welcomed. The house was very clean and it has everything we needed for our stay, including tons of good coffee :). This place is a jewel and we highly recommend it. It made our trip to Cherokee very memorable. Thank you, Margaret!”
Beautiful 2 story mountain cabin with fireplace set in mature grove of trees. Tree swing and fire ring with seating.
“This place was beyond fantastic. There were so many thoughtful touches they provided for us including essential oils and snacks. The cabin had reverse osmosis water to use, washer and dryer, mini fridge, fireplace, and tv. There was a fire pit nearby with a wooden swing and chairs to enjoy s’mores, an amazing zip line to try, and beautiful trees to enjoy a peaceful walk around the property. The hospitality of the owners was amazing! They were so friendly and accommodating. We had the most unbelievable experience. We will for sure go back and visit and refer all of our friends to this outstanding cabin!”
Charming country home in the heart of Twister country! Perfect for weekend hunting trips, hiking, visiting the Twister Museum. We are also 35 miles from Salt Plains State Park where you can dig selenite crystals and bird watch. Clean, comfortable, and cozy!
“This place was a perfect little getaway for the weekend. Really nice, updated place with the small town charm in Wakita. It worked great for our visit to Salt Plains State Park. Gina is wonderful! Met us in person for check-in. Super accommodating to changing plans, plus great tips for around town. She even brought us some eggs from her farm! We loved it!”
