“The Subedi family is an absolute pleasure to stay with. They went out of their way at every opportunity to make us feel welcome and help us with any problems we had. Their hospitality is the finest I have had from any Nepali in my 2 visits to this country (and Nepali are extremely hospitable on average). I only regret that we only had a single night to stay with such wonderful people. Thank you from my girlfriend and myself for being so amazingly nice and helpful - you made our stay in Bharatpur an amazing one and have convinced us we need to spend more time in that part of the country in future visits. The house is a beautiful, very modern home situated in a quiet part of town. Although it may initially seem to be a little out of the way when looking at the map, it is actually very convenient to the tourist bus stops, the airport, and even downtown because of the wonderful electric tuk-tuks in the city (very cheap and easy to get anywhere that way). The bathroom is modern and gorgeously decorated, the internet is fast, and the area is quiet and relaxed at night. Finding the house can be a small challenge but just remember it is right on the corner above the paint store and you will have no problems!”
Namaste! We are three generations in one house and we are happy to welcome you in our family. Our house has three rooms for our guests with private bathroom. You will eat food which comes mostly from our garden and you will drink our special nepali milk tea, where the milk comes fresh from our two cows :-) We are a Nepali family who are still living with our religion and the old traditions and the way of treating visitors with respect, kindness and the hospitality the Nepali are know for.
“This was my 15th Airbnb experience and my favourite by far!! Not only did I get a clean, comfortable space and delicious breakfast but I got a mother, a father, brother, sister, grandma and grandpa, cute dog...because really was treated as one of the family!! They are such a beautiful, funny, thoughtful family...They went beyond what is expected from a host. Dilu organised me activities/buses and took me on walk in jungle, Sanjan took me on motorbike to a lake and sacred river and to play pool with his friends, and Binu invited me to her daycare centre, and to hang out and eat fresh oranges/coconut/mystery fruits...I stayed 6 days and could've stayed longer. Sauraha is a very relaxing place to be and easy to make friends with locals. So I highly recommend this homestay if you want to fully immerse yourself in Nepali culture!! Thank you all so much, I will be back :-) X”
Located 1 kilometer from Chitwan National Park, guests live comfortably in authentic Tharu Huts overlooking the river. Each of the double or twin rooms is perfectly clean and well kept and has its own modern bathroom. Tharu community Home Stay is run by the people of the village, who will also introduce you to their local customs. As our guest you may join the evening cookery in the village and the local festivities.
“Simple homestay in a location about a 15-20 min walk from main town. We enjoyed being away from traffic and near the river. Omraj and his family were very helpful and you can book a variety of excursions or experiences through the homestay, including jungle safaris and traditional Tharu activities like cooking, fishing, etc. Bedrooms were simple, we had one large bed and one single bed, and one bathroom to share. All felt clean when we arrived. WiFi worked well most of the time, just be aware you are in a rural area close to the jungle. You can order food, snacks, drinks at the homestay and eat in the dining hall, then pay your bill at the end of your stay. Everything we ate was very good and there are options for local and traditional dishes. Overall had a short, but amazing time exploring Chitwan. We really enjoyed the hike/canoe excursion we booked through Omraj, a highlight being able to see crocodiles and a rhino up close!”
