“I HONESTLY CAN’T RATE KATARZYNA AND HER PLACE HIGHLY ENOUGH. Katarzyna was the perfect host and went out of her way to be of help to me. Communication was quick and helpful. Finding the apartment and getting in, was also very easy. Although small this apartment has EVERYTHING you will need, for a short break to visit Auschwitz. 2 bedrooms for 2 couples, 1 shower room and a small but functional kitchen. What can’t be taken for granted is how perfectly clean this apartment was. Thank you so much for EVERYTHING I would most definitely return and stay here again. For Information Only Auschwitz 1 is just a short walk away (door to door less than 10 minutes Max). A free shuttle bus takes you too Auschwitz 2. Very important advice ........ Word of warning .....! PRE BOOK YOUR ENTRANCE TO AUSCHWITZ 1, AT LEAST A COUPLE OF MONTHS IN ADVANCE ...! As there is Absolutely very little chance of anyone getting into Auschwitz 1, without PRE booking in advance. I see so many people being turned away and being told to come back at 07:30 the following morning, to see if anything was available. If you are on a guided tour, please note ... Once you leave / exit Auschwitz 1 to go to Auschwitz 2, you will NOT be allowed to re-enter Auschwitz 1 again. I suggest you spend at least 2 days in the area. Day 1 Book a guided tour so you are told everything about both camps. Day 2 Return very early the following morning (before 08:30) and walk round on you own, catching up on what you missed on day 1. That’s what we did and it worked perfectly for us. Auschwitz 2 is free to visit and you don’t need a ticket, just arrive and walk straight in. This is a larger area and doesn’t have the buildings like Auschwitz 1 has (but of course is a must place to visit), as this is what Auschwitz ended up being about.”
We offer a spacious room with a double bed in a block of flats, located in a very green area. The room is very bright and sunny with a balcony. We speak english and a little bit german :)
“This place was perfect! Close to markets and away from big city feels. Katarzyna's mother was amazing! She picked us up from the train station and took us to the Auschwitz Museum the morning we had our tickets purchased for. Mirislow also took us to the airport the morning of our flight (so nice!!). Everything is very close. My husband and I actually walked back to the air Bnb from Auschwitz and it was about a 2 mile walk. Beautiful place and loved sitting out on the balcony! I would highly recommend!”
Welcome to ReStart Apartment. It is a lovely fully-furnished apartment fulfilled with home atmosphere. Place is located: - 2 minutes walk from Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, - 10 minutes walk from Oświęcim Life Festival field, Soła River, parks, railway station and shopping center, - 20 minutes walk from Auschwitz Jewish Center, Zamek Museum and city center with cafes and restaurants.
“Gabriela's place provides an excellent accommodation to visit the former KL. As has been reviewed by others: the location has a backdoor path leading to the entrance of the museum, a mini market nearby, at least 5 nearby autobus stops to take you to the train station and downtown area, excellent amenities, and a wonderful neighbourhood all around. One of the house rules is respecting the neighbours, which I presume means quiet time, however, I find it funny -- in the ironic sense-- that I think I heard the neighbours kids more than they heard me. Oh well, this is their living space, and I was just visiting for a couple of days. I must note that there was just one or two such instances, and it seems they (also) observe the quiet time, because not a sound was heard after 20:00. This is NOT meant as a criticism, or a complaint, or as a note for prospective rentals; I just like to observe ironies in life. My stay here was excellent with absolutely no bothers. As disclosed in the listing, check-in time is 17:00. This should present no issue if you time your arrival accordingly. On the other hand, checkout time is rather late, giving you a chance to make a 2nd (or 3rd) day visit in the morning hours (need to reserve tickets for all visits .... there are many school field trips, including overseas ones, and I didn't visit during summer time). If you arrive early, I'd recommend waiting at the world famous Kebab Burger Allis, just minutes away on foot. If you want to map out how to get around or where shops/stores/restaurants are, map applications (OpenStreet, the big G, and others) have the correct building, but not the number.”
