We live, live and work with our two children on a former potato finca in the green north of the island above the village of Tamargada in a high valley at 600m altitude in a dreamlike, partly terraced location overlooking the hill chain and the sea. The house is surrounded by year-round green vegetation and surrounded by trees, plants, shrubs and animals.
“What a fantastic place! The atmospheric pictures give a good impression of the natural paradise that awaits you in the lonely gorge of Los Zarzales. The cabana is embedded harmoniously and had everything we needed. We spent ten days here with our seven-month-old daughter at the beginning of February and enjoyed this time immensely. If you have the time, you should spend there more than two night. (The extremely good bookshelf will surely last for half a year.) Christina and Dirk are very open-minded and respectful hosts. We are very grateful that they make this place accessible to guests. After these days we went to Valle Gran Rey which was kind of a culture shock or at least the absolute contrast program. The cabana in northern Gomera is certainly not for everyone. It is noticeably cooler, wetter and more cloudy. You should plan around 20 minutes for the steep kilometer from the parking lot. (Dirk drives the luggage with the 4WD for arrival and departure). You have to earn your little adventure, but for us it was definitely worth it.”
Relax with spectacular views, have breakfast on the terraces and live romantic nights gazing at the stars. The renovated studio has a very comfortable bed, kitchen, private outdoor area, Wifi, free parking and entrance near the road. In a rural-quiet area, ideal for hiking, it is easily accessible by car from San Sebastián (15min), the main town where all ferries arrive. The ecological farm has 7 terraces with many fruit trees, such as mango, avocado and macadamia. Take some fruits & be happy!
“We loved our stay! We did yoga once or twice a day, hiked about 30 miles and got as high as 4500ft. The recommended car hire was ace and we ate good food both at home and out and about....including an avocado from the garden 🙏🏻 The shower was a fantastic surprise too and the bed and bedding super comfy. We are planning to come back next season for more yoga, cycling and running/hiking!”
A cosy room with own bathroom and an amazing terrace with view over San Sebastián bay and valley
“We felt very comfortable with Antonio. You can reach the room on the top floor via several stairs from the roof terrace - small but nice. The accommodation was spotless, nicely decorated and well equipped. Loungers, a hammock, table and chairs were available on the huge roof terrace. From here I have a great view of the colorful city, the beach and the valley of San Sebastián. In a covered alcove on the terrace there are kitchen utensils such as a coffee machine, kettle, mini fridge, dishes, glasses and cutlery. So you can have breakfast on the roof terrace. When we arrived there were even chilled drinks and fruit ready for us. There were beach towels and a clothes line to dry the wet bathing suit, which we found very practical. From the accommodation you can walk in a few minutes via a few stairs in the pedestrian zone and on the beach. We thank Antonio for the great hospitality and would fully recommend the accommodation.”
