If you're looking for a peaceful getaway and are interested in the off-grid lifestyle, come stay at our cabin located south of Junction City. It is 100% off-grid, still offering all the amenities that make life comfortable while allowing you to get back to the simplicity that many are searching for. There won't be another soul in sight unless you want them there. You can BBQ on the pellet grill with your family, make s'mores around the camp fire, watch the kids jump on the trampoline and swing, go fishing on the dock, take a boat for a little ride, swim, relax in the screened-in porch, and then enjoy the air conditioning or heating/fireplace when you're ready to go to bed. The cabin sits on a four acre pond, and is truly one of a kind. Rates are $125 a night for our winter rates, and Friday and Saturday must be booked together. Please message for more information, and thank you for looking!
“Megan and Tim are fantastic hosts! They are quick to respond and eager to help in any way they can. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and having the entire pond to yourself is amazing. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place. If you do need to get into town, it is only a 15 minute jaunt so not bad at all. Be advised, the cabin does have air conditioning, but you will need to occasionally fill up two generators with fuel to run it. Tim and Megan are more than happy to help you with this, and the generators last around 10 hours, so it really isn't a huge deal. Also, the pasture road has not been gravelled. We used our little Toyota Corolla and did just fine, but I anticipate that if it had rained while we were there, there is a good chance we would have been stuck. This place is amazing. Highly recommend.”

“I stayed at Mitch and Mary’s spot for 1 night and it was the perfect layover for my road trip across the country. Directly off the highway and away from the city. Their home is tucked away from the noise and is quiet and beautiful. Mary welcomed me into her home and gave me a tour. Despite the accommodations being in the basement the place was clean and you can tell they put thought and care into the touches. I arrived with my little pooch and they have 2 cats. We met one named George and yes he’s curious. Mitch is great too! I met him after and overall my experience was great. As a woman traveling alone homes can sometimes get me on edge but honestly, the best experience and what I believe makes Airbnb great.”
A unique lodging experience in the Flint Hills, located only 7 miles from town, you will feel like you are in the middle of a peaceful sanctuary. As seen on FYI Channel television series, "You Can't Turn That Into A House", 2 grain bins were made into a unique space, with glass walls connecting the grain bins - feeling one with nature when you sit in the living room, sipping your morning coffee. Go ahead, treat yourselves.
“The Grain Bin house is so amazing - pulling up, you drive onto a beautiful ranch and pull up to this unique home! The house is as gorgeous inside as it is outside - everything was so stylish while also being comfy. The kitchen and dining area are great for making a meal and enjoying food together as a group. Though we opted to sit on the patio looking out at the horses and cows and lovely scenery. Everything was perfect - we just wish we had more time to enjoy the house and property! We loved the story behind the house being created and the architecture. So cool! Lori was so welcoming and kind. She came to greet us and made sure we had everything we needed. The fridge was stocked with some staples and treats! The kitchen had everything we needed - including marshmallow/hot dog roasting sticks to use over the fire pit. We highly recommend and hope to come back for a longer visit!!”
