Our cottage has been sympathetically renovated and is a uniquely individual space retaining a wealth of originality, blended perfectly with a contemporary feel. We can welcome 6, with two double bedrooms and a large double sofa-bed in the galleried landing area. A spacious living area leads to a quiet outdoor patio with rural views. The grounds the cottage are located in are surrounded by a large moat which contains unprotected deep water. Unsuitable for young unsupervised children.

A few minutes from the most beautiful villages of Vendée.

Cottage with private pool

This stylish place to stay is good for couples and families. It has just been completely renovated and will charm you with its 5 x 3 metre swimming pool, heated and open from mid-May to early September, depending on the weather conditions. You will have one bedroom with a bed of 160 x 200, a second bedroom with mezzanine composed of a bed of 140 x 190 and two beds of 90 x 190 cm upstairs. On the terrace side you will have a living room and a dining area. Fully-equipped kitchen.

Take it easy at this unique and particularly tranquil getaway with exceptional views of Lake Marillet and our swimming pool. Come and immerse yourself in a green setting and let yourself be lulled by bird song. You'll also enjoy eating on your private terrace with stunning views. This independent accommodation is located above our house. Guests can take advantage of the swimming pool and garden. The bottom of the garden overlooks the lake, kayaks are available to you.

In the heart of the Poitevin marsh, on the immediate edge of the river, in a quiet area, the accommodation is ideally located to travel between Niort, the marsh, La Rochelle, Ile de Ré, Futuroscope, Vendée, Puy du Fou, Palmyre Zoo, Ile d'Oléron… Christelle and Jean-Michel, former boatmen guides, will be happy to introduce you to the marsh. You will have at your disposal, free of charge, a boat, a canoe and two bikes.

The indoor heated pool is at your disposal.

Within the Domaine de l 'Orfraie, at the borders of the plain and the Vendéen bocage, the Gîte de l' Orfraie is ideally located between La Rochelle and Le Puy du Fou, the ocean and the Poitevin marsh.
