“About the place: We were traveling to Shravanabelegola and found this as one just at 35 kms distance. We could easily locate it on Google Maps, based in a good residential area in Holenarsinhapura. It is a spacious home, neatly kept and looked after by the family. The arrangements well made in advance and hence was hassle free for us. Since we had kids with us, the kitchen utilities were really helpful. The vessels were clean and good state. Their family as well their assistant "Srikantesh" was there too help us eagerly. Best part was we got fresh buffalo milk just from their backyard, so it felt like a perfect country-side holiday for us. Thanks once again for homely experience! #homestay #Shravanabelegola #Holenarsinhapura”

“We had a great stay at this place, it was very clean, spacious enough, close to the main sights, and very friendly host. I would stay here again.”
Set amidst a 100 acre coffee and pepper plantation - A 125 year old English Colonial Bungalow which belonged to one of the first pioneers of Coffee Col. Crawford. A 20 minute drive from the famous Belur and Halebid Temples & other scenic locations.
“Hirvate Estate is a hidden gem of a homestay, tucked away in obscure Hassan. The house quickly reminds you of a little English cottage and rightly so (the estate was previously called the Crawford House) - which our host Samrat explained with much gusto. The elegant house with its spacious gardens, large airy rooms, antique furnishings and stunning fireplace (which is used during winter!) is sure to take you back in time. Hirvate is the ideal choice for families/ couples, it offers plenty of privacy on one hand & lots of outdoor spaces for the kids on the other. Sitting in between a coffee plantation, its easy to disconnect and truly relax ... the limited mobile connectivity definitely helps too! We spent our weekend catching up on some reading from their massive library collection, tucking in some amazing local dishes like pandi curry, akki roti, fresh appams with coconut milk and enjoying the cool, cool weather -post sunset - such a pleasant break from the sweltering summer! The host can also arrange for a private BBQ if you fancy it - though this needs to be booked in advance. The kitchen was more than happy to serve to some of my toddler's meal requests too and we can't thank them enough for that ! The operational coffee estate means you can get tours of the estate and an insight into coffee production. Other attractions would be a trip to the nearby Waterhole Dam and a trip into Hassan town. Service is flawless, discreet, and very, very personalized. The attention to detail - be it the amenities in your room or the very-English and almost-formal-but-not-quite dining arrangements (we love their selection of china and cutlery ) and proximity to Bangalore - are definitely why we loved our stay at Hirvate. ”
