A warm welcome to Hidden Valley Homestay Stakmo. Hidden Valley Homestay is located in the Village of Stakmo and is around 40 minutes drive ( 27 Kilometers ) from the city of Leh. The Famous Thiksey Monastery is just 15 minutes drive from my home and a visit to Thiksey monastery morning prayers is a must while staying here. From my home one can also get nice, scenic view of high mountains and beautiful garden.
“When you stay with a host family you really get to know the place. Sure, you can read all about the tourist trail online, but you need to stay in a real home to truly live and breathe the new city. Our hosts will share with you an insight into local life that hotels just don't offer. If it's your first time living away from home. Beat the homesickness with this homestay and you'll be sure to feel at home straight away. This host will be there to welcome you and assist you with all those questions you'll certainly have. Gotal is a family run business with all the basic facilities to make your stay in Ladakh a comfortable one. That homely feeling which a traveler aspires for during the journey is surely to be found here. Come and stay connected with the beautiful nature and choose Leh's only homestay of it's kind.
“Gotal homestay is truly a wonderful place to stay when you are in Leh. Stanzin's parents looked after us like their own family members by asking us if we felt warm with the cold outside, whether we had any headache from the altitude, kept asking us to drink hot water frequently. We enjoyed hot tea and chat in the kitchen in the warmth of bhukara. Food was very tasty. We had the best momos for dinner along with carrot halwa for dessert ( all vegetables from their own garden). At night Rinchen ensured we had enough blankets to be warm and also provided a hot water pack to keep us warm. We would love to return to Stanzin's homestay everytime we are in Leh.”
