“Beautiful views! Our dog appreciated the food and water bowls, as well as the large dog bed. There were plenty of towels, blankets, toilet paper, etc. The host (Meg) was very thorough and prompt in her messages, and she gave us a great hike suggestion (Zapata Falls).”

“Wonderful cabin. Thoughtfully designed. The place has a ton of windows and no curtains which threw me at first. However, the privacy of the property and way it’s positioned in relation tot he road leaves you with complete privacy. The windows look out to a beautiful forest. The place has everything you need. Comfortable living room to lounge and lookout at the wonderful scenery. An efficient gas fireplace, that will work even if the power goes down in a winter storm. My dog Linus and I ended up at the cabin during a winter storm where the area lost power for half a day. This impacted everything including the water. However, the gas fireplace in the living room was still running. I paid attention to the forecast and made sure I was prepared. I had plenty of water and food and kept warm. It is a cabin in the woods and in a nice, yet developing neighborhood. This means the street will be plowed during snow, but it may be later in the day. It’s a give and take with the remoteness and privacy you get in return. It got down to -8 one night and over the course of a few days gave us some good snow. Which was a gorgeous winter wonderland. I was also driving a Subaru Outback and had no trouble making it up and down the mountain. The kitchen was stocked, cabin was warm, land was beautiful and fun to explore. Linus and I had a great time. Very relaxing.”
Set up camp at 9000 feet on 14 acres of private land in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Range. The property offers beautiful views of San Luis Valley to the west and the snow-capped peaks of Blanca Peak to the north. I don't offer any additional amenities on site, so you will be camping out in the wilderness! Due to elevation, be prepared to bring warm camping gear. This property is in a gorgeous area that offers privacy with a beautiful view. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
“A beautiful view from a secluded slice of private paradise. The spot was well kept and easy to access around the site, and Jacob was a very accommodating host! Found an elk carcass picked clean a couple hundred yards from the site... terrifying and exhilarating all at once.”
