Tenute il Giano is a former farm set between Chianti and Chiana Valley (Valdichiana), in the East of Tuscany. Nestled in the peace of the countryside, it is ideal for a relaxing holiday and for cultural tours, not being far from cities such as Cortona and Arezzo as well as Florence, Siena and Perugia. The property includes two large stone-houses and a barn, surrounded by 12 ha of land including 900 olive trees.
“A lovely place to stay to enjoy Tuscany. The apartment was spacious and relatively quiet from the other apartments. The pool and play area for the kids (and adults!) was brilliant and well maintained. There are many day trips you can do from here (Florence, Siena, Cortona...) The group that are your hosts are lovely and helpful with local tips. Our only comment is the wifi was very intermittent for us (not helpful when you work while traveling), the basics are not provided (oil, hand soap etc unless other guests leave them) and there is no oven. These are just things to note as we would highly recommend staying here. The setting in the olive trees is very relaxing after a day exploring!”

“Cozy and confortable apartment. It has everything you need. Very good location to visit Montepulciano, Montalcino, and very nice villages in Toscana. Very good attention from the host´s dad.”
Hi! We're Livia and Renata (doughter and mom, 22 and 48) and we live in Montepulciano, In Valdichiana, in the shell of agricultural and food tuscan traditions. We're italian mother-tongue, but we speak very good english. We're particular open-minded, hospitable, positive, curious and cheerful people and since we don't have many opportunities of travel, we'd love some pieces of the world to come find us :)
“Renata hosted us as Livia was not in town. We were told to treat the place as our own house even though we booked a room. She had the time to show us how to make a variety of pasta which we ate, and we concocted a chinese herbal soup for the dinner. There were so much fun and cultural exchanges like we are having a party! If you are visiting Montepulciano, consider basing yourself in Renata's home. She works in a shop in Montepulciano and able to offer you travel advice. Do visit the shop to sample the wine/cheeses/salumi - they are very good.”
