“If you are a nature loving hippie like me, stop your search now and just book Bambú already. This cosy and eco friendly bungalow will not disappoint. It is located in a perfectly breezy garden that is yours to relax in. You will be showering with collected and cleaned rainwater and are provided with a large jug of fresh water to cook with and drink from so you don't have to purchase wasteful single use bottles. Manuel and Yanet are genuinely kind people and I felt so looked after by them. They helped me so much with getting around town, giving recommendations, helping me to find an amazing hike and sharing vegetables from their garden. They also gave me a private dying and weaving class (for an extra cost of course) and in the end I decided to order a custom tapete from Manuel. He is a truly talented artist. They also introduced me to some family members and friends and their sweet dog, Afrika, who lives on the premises who will protect you and give you cuddles. There's no wifi so get ready to unplug and enjoy nature or walk 2 blocks to the nearest cafe to connect.”
Espacio amplio.
“For the price you pay you actually get a lot more than expected. These rooms are located in unfinished building (like a future hotel), nevertheless rooms are dully functional. You even have hot water! Clean bed linens, towels, everything is present. Plus you can park your can or motorcycle in the yard behind the walls (very secure). So for the price less than for camping in a tent you get fullsize bed, hot water and private space. Perfect value for the money”
Country house with beautiful view in Oaxaca´s Sierra Norte hosted by a lovely Zapoteca family that cooks amazing traditional food for a small price in their family run comedor "Casa de Piedra" which is right next to the house that they rent out. Many hiking options start right from the house. The family is very helpful, the house has two bedrooms, a hot shower bathroom, kitchen and a beautiful balcony.
“We greatly enjoyed our stay in Benito Juárez at Jose’s cabin. The cabin was even better than pictured with very comfortable beds and lots of warm blankets. The shower was hot and the kitchen was adequately equipped for us to Prepare most of our meals. Jose’s family can also prepare meals for you at a very reasonable price. There are a couple of small markets in the village or you might want to pick up groceries before you arrive. We took two wonderful hikes and highly recommend the guide Lulu. Jose and his family couldn’t have been nicer. They were gracious warm and helpful. Jose was an excellent communicator. They don’t speak much English, But fortunately our Spanish was adequate. We visited in February and it was a bit chilly at night so I’ll be sure to bring some extra layers though there were plenty of warm blankets for the beds at night. We had an amazing experience and Benito Juarez it is a gorgeous town and Jose’s cabin Was wonderful.”
