The house is ideally-situated in the heart of the Anjou wine region, a few miles from Saumur (well-known for it's castle and the French National Horse-Riding School, ''Le Cadre Noir'', wine growers, and troglodytes sites). Also nearby: important castles in Angers, Chinon, Montreuil-Bellay, Brézé, as well as Europe's largest monastic center, the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, which features an excellent music and cultural program. Other worthwhile day trips include the exquisite Loire Valley castles, such as: Chambord, Blois, Cheverny, Azay le Rideau, etc. The house, which is about 187 miles from Paris (300 km), or about 2 hours by TGV, can accomodate two couples with children (sleeps six altogether). The appartement includes : an entrance hall, a large sitting and dining room with a small equiped kitchen, one bedroom, a bathroom, and a small bedroom on a mezzanine level.

Welcome to the Gîte de l'Écuyer. This detached house in the heart of the village, with its private garden, is in a very beautiful setting. Forest walks from your cottage. Discover land art, the botanical trail of about 30 minutes, and hikes of 1 to 4 hours or more with the GR at the foot of the castle. Dining at Les Caves de Marson, a delicious troglodyte restaurant in Fouées (1 minute walk). Visit the Cadre Noir, 5 minutes away. 10 minutes from the Loire, Saumur and its many tourist attractions.

Full of character and charm, thick local limestone walls keep the house cool in summer yet cosy during colder, truffle-hunting months. The covered terrace is perfect for alfresco dining. Close to the owners' house, you will be welcomed in a house in the heart of the city, offering a wide variety of shops. The accommodation consists of three bright and pleasant bedrooms, one of which is equipped with a TV. Kitchen is Fully stocked. The living room will allow you to meet around an aperitif or a meal. A garden table and chairs are available on a terrace. Private parking allows you to park a car safely.

You'll love my place because of the location and the ambiance. It is an old house made of tuffeau stone located in the heart of a troglodyte courtyard. The gite has a fully equipped kitchen and 2 air-conditioned bedrooms upstairs. It also has an outdoor courtyard with a terrace (barbecue, garden furniture). My place is good for couples, solo travelers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends.
