Living Rock Campsite #1

Our campsite is located on the hill behind Terlingua Ghost Town, 1/2 mile from Restaurants and shopping. Campfires are allowed. We have a composting toilet on the campground and an outdoor shower available. The view from your campsite is a 360 degree panoramic view of the Big Bend region complete with a sunrise over the Chisos and a sunset in the Chihuahuan desert of Mexico. The road to the campsite is unpaved. Take it slowly, any car will make it. One tent per site, please. Tent not included.

Bus Jack - Primitive Campsite on Terlingua Ranch

This land art installation on Terlingua Ranch in the Chihuahuan Desert is made of 9 vintage Volkswagon campers and vans arranged in a henge. This is NOT in Terlingua Ghost Town. It is about an hour from there. It is available for primitive camping. "Bus Jack" is visible on satellite images of the earth. There is no bathroom or water available at the site. There is limited cell phone coverage. Up to 50 primitive campers are allowed. You must take all trash with you when you leave.
