The modern cabin from 2022 is located in the beach zone on Herlandsneset at the end of Atløy in Askvoll Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane. The plot is sunny with panoramic sea views that can be enjoyed from the cabin's hot tub. There is a fabulous view from the cabin towards the island of Kinn in the northwest, a landmark and the area is known as a sailing landmark along the coast. To the southwest you can see the well-known viewpoint Brurastakken and the popular hiking island Alden also called Norske Hesten. With the cabin's motorboat you can travel there and to Værlandet and Bulandet.

Possibility of renting a boat by appointment. The accommodation has a living room, kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms. Large terrace with good sun conditions and views of the Sognefjord. Access to nature and trails. 5 minutes to a grocery store. (Rental unit in the basement of the home with a tenant). Bed linen and towels can be rented for 270 NOK per person. An electric car can be charged for NOK 150 per charge.

There are many hiking opportunities; Storehesten, Lisjehesten, Dagsturhytta Skaraly, hunting opportunities, swimming in the fjord or in mountain lakes. Enjoy the relaxing and comfortable atmosphere of the Birdbox. Cozy, close to nature and peaceful. Lay down and sleep right beside nature and the amazing surroundings. Close to Bergen(3 hrs), Flåm(1h35m), Voss(1h30m), Jostedal Glacier, Gudvangen, Geiranger (4h), Balestrand (1h), Fjærland (1h), Ålesund(5h). Visit the mountains (Vikafjellet 0,5h). Older, newly renovated house of 300 m2. Located on a hill with a unique view at the border of the Sørebødalen nature reserve. Ideal starting point for hiking and fishing trips. Boats can be hired for fishing in the fjord. In Almdokkevatnet, boats and nets can be used free of charge with the purchase of a fishing licence. An old timber living room with sleeping loft and meeting room for 30 can be rented in addition. Parking in the yard. Can also be rented together with a cabin in the forest.

Big Cabin

Ortnevik is two and half hours north of Bergen, on the south side of the Sognefjord. It's a picturesque Norwegian village sitting by the fjord at the foot of the Stølsheimen National Park. The local ferry can take you to see a bit more of the surrounding area, such as Vik, Voss and Flåm. Along side the mountain and forest trails, fishing and rowing activities found here. We expect guests to clean the cabin to the same standard they found it in or there is the option of cleaning for 500 NOK.

Boating, hiking, kayaking, swimming. The village Balestrand offers fishing trips and fjord tours by boat, rental of kayaks bicycles and cars.
