The Carriage is set on tracks where the original line ran through Ullock on the fringe of the Lake District National Park, with the river Marron running below. The Ewe was new to 2024 and is the perfect dog friendly Lake District getaway for couples. The Ewe is a bespoke luxury shepherds hut which comes with double opening front doors, underfloor heating, a king sized bed, fully fitted kitchen and an en-suite. This hut is a genuine all-year round getaway option. The Ewe is situated in a secluded woodland area with fantastic views of fells, fresh pastures and woodland which is packed with British wildlife, especially our famous red squirrels.

It is in a rural setting about 4 miles outside the market town of Cockermouth but is actually located in the Lake District National Park with stunning views over the fells, Binsey, Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and Keswick. The lodge has been designed to make the most of those idyllic views and is a retreat for anyone wanting to relax, unwind and enjoy our “world Heritage” status.

Welcome to Highside a delightful cottage set in a secluded location overlooking the tranquil village of Lorton. Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.
