This building is part of an old Catalan farmhouse dating back to the early 15th century. It has been renovated in several phases, the last one in 2018. Taking advantage of the perimeter of the main house, the renovation has resulted in an apartment attached to a swimming pool and an attached two-story house. The house and garden complex, plus the surrounding forest, could be defined as a combination of medieval civil architecture, updated with modern materials and design details.

I fell in love with this little piece of heaven. Magical in winter with the snow covering the cottage, but also in summer. I wanted to offer my guests a more modern atmosphere while preserving the vintage and "natural" aspect of the mountain. You'll feel right at home very quickly. The snow in winter can be intense, but the cottage remains easily accessible (car equipment for snow, mandatory in winter: tire socks/chains/or snow tires🛞)

El Paller de Mas la Riba is located on a mountain estate in the Girona Pyrenees. On this estate we find Mas la Riba, a large rural house, with a swimming pool, and El Paller, which we have arranged as an independent accommodation. The place is beautiful, very isolated, as it is 6km from the road, but with an incredible landscape. On the same estate we find the Riera de Merles, known for its fantastic gorges.

It’s located in a mountain about 1250 meters high, surrounded by forest, fields and with lots of trails and roads to go for walks and hikes — even mushroom hunting! We are about 10km away from Berga , only 1.5 hours north of Barcelona ,70 miles (110km).
