Each day brings another memorable view or sighting of the abundant wildlife in and around the cottage grounds. Yet, if you want an activity based week there is a vast amount of organised activities and attractions just on your doorstep.

Aviemore, Kincraig, Kirkbeag

Kirkbeag, an old church converted to a very high standard, is located on the Aviemore side of Kincraig, nestled in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park. It is ideally suited to big family groups. It sits beside the B9152 within walking distance of the village pub & close to Loch Insh Watersports Centre and all the activities available on Alvie Estate. It has a large garden set in forest with direct access to the Speyside Way which provides cycle/walking access to Aviemore (all offroad).

Drumguish Cottage

Summer 2025 as been amazing for wildlife sightings - red deer in the garden, squirrels, wild cat, badger, osprey flying overhead, red kite, family of buzzards in the woods and many many other birds. I will put up some photos for you. Drumguish Cottage is located in the highlands of Scotland, and the Cairngorm National Park which is 1,748 square miles and larger than Luxembourg. The cottage is set among the majestic pine woods of Drumguish, with mountain views and with lots of wildlife.

Soillerie Beag: haven in Cairngorms National Park

Soillerie Beag is a self-catering cottage in the quiet village of Insh in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. The cottage lies on the boundary of the Insh Marshes RSPB nature reserve and has views across the open countryside to the Spey Valley and Monadhliath Mountains. The area is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise, offering walking, cycling, fishing, bird watching, golf, sailing, climbing and ski-ing. Soillerie Beag is the perfect peaceful retreat. Additionally there is a large utility space and a storage area available to cater for your self-catering holiday in the Highlands of Scotland.

Riverside Hideaway

Riverside Hideaway is a quirky above our garage conversion. It is Modern with a light, fresh feel. Located up a short track on the bank of the River Spey. Watching the Ospreys, hundreds of miles of forest tracks and cycle ways to explore, snow sports in the Cairngorms, paddling to Loch Insh or down the Spey the options are endless. It’s quiet, peaceful and relaxing but with excitement and exhilaration of outdoor pursuits all around.

Beautiful Edwardian flat in the Cairngorms.

The flat is located within the main house with shared access but otherwise fully independent with a separate staircase. The house is Edwardian, built in 1913, and retains its original features. West Terrace is a cul-de-sac leading towards the popular Creag Bheag summit. The flat is light and airy with a good wi-fi connection. Please note there is no TV.
