Medieval Fort, Sud Ardèche stunning loft with pool

Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

A dormitory and relaxation area for children, 3 bedrooms (suites) for adults and a lodge apartment for 4 people (in total 10 people) An ecological swimming pool in a wooded garden with a magnificent view of the Margeride.

A countryside suite

This 56 m2 suite, giving access to a private terrace of more than 15 m2 overlooking a pond, combines contemporary style and the character of old stonework. A large unoverlooked glass area will allow you to feel at one with nature. Guests can relax by the pyramid fireplace (lit from October to the end of April) as well as in the suite's private spa (jacuzzi). Breakfast will be offered with a sweet or savory option according to your preferences.

On the garden level of our house (We live on the first floor) discover a small independent cocoon bathed in calm and greenery, for a peaceful break. The 1 st accommodation is equipped with 1 bedroom with 1 bed of 1.60, 1 living room with sofa bed, a bathroom, 1 summer kitchen, and 1 swimming pool. The small chalet is 10 metres from the house, it includes: 1 double bed, 1 bathroom with shower, toilet, sink, 1 terrace.

Our house is intended for a family with children, comfortable for a couple. -We offer a studio: Dining table, Mini bar, Coffee maker, kettle. - No kitchen - Internet -Toilet and shower - Bed (1600x2000) - bed (1200x1900) -Only dogs are accepted: We ask for an extra €15 per stay per dog not exceeding 40cm at the withers, beyond this size the surcharge amounts to €30. We limit the number of these companions to two.
