The house is located less than 1 hour's drive to: Bø with summerland and climbing park Kongsberg with Silver Mines and Alpine Center/Ski Center Rjukan with world heritage, water park, climbing park and Gaustablikk with alpine and cross-country skiing Gaustatoppen, Lifjell and Blefjell To Notodden with Blues Festival, Stavkirka, Telemark Gallery and the World Heritage it is about 30 min drive. You just have to pick and choose from experiences and trips or enjoy quiet days and the good life in the countryside.

Idyllic spot by Tinnsjøen near Rjukan

The cabin is located by Tinnsjøen lake with parking right beside it. It is 6 kilometers from Mæl ferry rental in the direction of Atrå. It is 17 kilometres to Rjukan, 25 kilometres to Gaustatoppen mountain and beautiful mountain areas. Beautiful views, plenty of sun. There is no running water in the cabin, but water tap just outside. Free wood for the wood stove. When there's frost and freezing temperatures, there's no water in the tap outside. Water must be collected from the host. Rowing boat is available for free. At 920 meters above sea level you get stunning views of Gaustatoppen, peaceful surroundings and very good sun conditions from morning to evening. Short distance to the mountain, great hiking opportunities, fishing, swimming and cross-country skiing, as well as farm life at Håvardsrud and the cultural heritage of Rjukan, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Gaustablikk ski center is 50 km from the cabin. The cabin is well suited for families and guests who want tranquility, nature, views and good experiences all year round.

The cabin is centrally located in Austbygde which is an eldorado for trips in summer and winter. There is a short distance to Skirvedalen, where in winter there are miles of great ski slopes waiting for you. In summer there is a great swimming spot in the river nearby. There is also a short distance to Sandviken camping by Tinnsjøen which has a wide range of leisure activities. It is 30 km to Rjukan which is listed on UNESCO's World Heritage List. Here you can visit Vemork, Solspeilet, take the Krossobanen etc.

The cabin is newly built in 2023, luxurious, fully equipped, with WiFi included. Bedding&towels can be rented for €20 per person.

Len deg tilbake og slapp av på dette rolige, elegante stedet. Tenn opp grillen og nyt god mat og noe godt å drikke. Hva med å starte dagen med et forfriskende bad i Tinnsjøen, eget badested. Muligheter for fiske. Mange flotte opplevelser i nærområdet . Rjukan har masse å by på i flott natur. Dette må bare oppleves! Hytten har dyner og puter tilgjengelig, men sengetøy må man ha med. Det er ikke vaskegebyr på stedet, så man må passe på å forlate det rent og pent til neste gjester kommer.

Bed linen and towels can be rented.

Koselig Eldhus/bakstehus fra 1850. Hytta er omgjort til et anneks/liten hytte hvor det er ett rom med dobbeltseng. Spisekrok inne. Utekjøkken m. kjøleskap, og gass koketopp. Grill. Bad i nabobygg. Dyne og pute er i hytta. Sengetøy må bestilles i tillegg for 150 pr person. Det er kort vei til fjellet, Tinnsjøen, sykkelturer og turer i nærområdet. På sommeren kan man bade og fiske i elva rett nedenfor. Turist kommunen tilbyr varierte opplevelser og aktiviteter for enhver.

Charming log cabin right on the waterfront

Enkel og liten, men sjarmerende tømmerhytte rett ved vannkanten. Ett rom, køyeseng, spisebord, kokeplate og kjøleskap. Bilvei frem til døren. Passer for 1-2 personer. Godt utgangspunkt for flotte dagsturer i nydelig natur! Det er dyner og puter i hytten, men dere må selv ta med laken, dynetrekk, putetrekk og håndklær. Tilgang til delt bad med do, vask og dusj. Hytten ryddes, oppvask settes tilbake på plass og søppel tømmes ved avreise.
