Bright, Beautiful Apartment in Excellent Uptown Location

Open the yellow front door and enter an apartment that fuses traditional architecture with a modern Parisian vibe. Wake up in a light-filled bedroom and step through the floor-to-ceiling window to the gorgeous wraparound balcony. This adorable one-bedroom apartment features a brand-new kitchen and bathroom with a modern Parisian vibe. Open the yellow front door and enter a living room/kitchen combination that's got everything you need to relax comfortably after a long day riding the streetcar, strolling through Audubon Park and eating poboys and crawfish at Frankie & Johnny's. (See our complete list of the best neighborhood restaurants for more info.) A beautiful wood staircase leads upstairs to a light-filled bedroom, bath and tucked-away workspace. The cheery bathroom has subway tiles on the wall and penny rounds on the floor. There's a floor-to-ceiling window that provides access to a wraparound balcony with views of the St. Charles Avenue streetcar and the lovely neighborhood. Two giant oak trees in front of the house provide a leafy green canopy for most of the year. You have your own completely private apartment and your own balcony. We have a separate front door that leads to our side of the house. We will be happy to answer questions and help out whenever we're around. The home is in a beautiful neighborhood with a streetcar stop nearby that gets to downtown in just 20 minutes. Spend the day walking through the Audubon Zoo and explore the historic and exciting French Quarter at night. The apartment is a half block from a St. Charles Avenue streetcar stop. There is ample street parking in front of the house. You can walk to Magazine Street, Freret Street (also lots of restaurants and bars) and Audubon Park. Vacation or business, we expect you treat our home as if it were your own. No smoking indoors. No pets. No late night caterwauling. You must also acknowledge: Security Deposit - if you damage the home, you may be charged up to $200.

Stylish Guesthouse in Historic Building near Audubon Park

The interior design and furnishing is modern, but accent walls and other features are constructed of original materials. The guest house has a full kitchen and includes a Keurig coffee maker with pods. The living room has a 55 inch TV and the bedroom has a 32 inch TV. The queen sized bed is a 12 inch memory foam mattress - very comfortable. The Guest House has central air and heat. The bathroom has a lovely glass tile shower. Ceiling height peaks at 13 feet. The Guest House is located in rear of the property. The neighborhood is very safe and the Guest House is particularly safe and secure. I live in the main house and will be available to assist with guest needs. The guesthouse is tucked away behind a gorgeous "shotgun" house and is located in one of the city's most desirable neighborhoods. An urban walker's paradise, it's steps from Magazine Street with its great restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. The Magazine Street bus is accessible steps from the Guest House. The St. Charles Street car line is a 10 minute walk down State Street. The neighborhood is quite walkable and bike friendly. Please take a look at my house manual. It has many tips for navigating the house and the neighborhood. There is plenty of free parking on the street but no off-street parking.

Audubon Park Guest House

Updated 2/2022: CABLE TV and CENTRAL AC/HEAT. A one studio apartment with a queen bed, bathroom and kitchenette. The property is located on Audubon Park at Prytania St and is the most tranquil place to stay in the city. Please let us know if you have any questions! Prytania St is halfway between St Charles (streetcar) and Magazine St (bus). Plenty of off street parking nearby Please know I have 2 young children who are sometimes in the backyard! we are always respectful and I haven’t had complaints, I just want people to be aware that You may see a little person when coming and going.

Spacious, in a fantastic area, and very walkable!

Our home is close to Magazine St, the St Charles Streetcar, the Prytania Theatre, Whole Foods, Crepe Nanou, St James Cheese and Creole Creamery. We are less than a mile from Tulane and Loyola Univs, and Audubon Park & Zoo. Our neighborhood has tree lined streets, Victorian and Ante-Bellum architecture and is a great place for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families with kids.
