Family home with some pets. Irish-speaking home. Immaculately clean. Five mins' walk from Train Station and eight mins' walk from Athenry town. Hospitality breakfast snack provided for first morning (only).
“I stayed here with my friend for my grandson's christening and the location was superb. Athenry is a lovely place with many nice local pubs, but you will need cash as cards are generally not accepted. Can highly recommend the Square Inn to sample the obligatory Guinness and to meet the friendly locals. The train station is an 8 minute walk (yes we timed it) from the accommodation and you can travel back to Dublin on the train if you need to get to the airport. If you book online it is so much cheaper, we travelled back for only 17.99 euros each and found the trip much quicker and more comfortable than catching the bus. You will need to hop on a bus outside of the train station for a short journey to the airport. Our hosts were lovely, as were their children, dogs (I loved the 11 year old Spaniel) and their cat. The room is great and had everything we needed including a lovely big comfy bed. The nice touches were the tea and coffee making facilities, cereal, milk, orange juice, snacks and yoghurts. The best one of all (on our last day) was the warm bacon sandwiches that Sandra packed for us to take on the 6.47 am train back to Dublin. If I visit Athenry in the future I wouldn't stay anywhere else. :-) Fran Bird "Kernow Maid"”
Perfect for isolating! If you need to quarantine, you're welcome here. The house and garden are private, with board games and Netflix for entertainment. You can see no one: we can arrange groceries left on your doorstep, and check in is with a lockbox. The house is meticulously cleaned, and gaps are left between guests to ensure everyone's safety. Here for pleasure? Located right in the centre of friendly and creative Athenry, it's a perfect nest from which to explore the wild West of Ireland.
“A beautiful, well presented home in a lovely town setting. Everything was up to such a high standard. Amelia was very quick to respond and had Teresa welcome us. She was fab, couldn't have been more helpful. The house has everything you could want or need as well as being decorated to the highest standard. I was a pity the weather was so bad because the garden is massive and well maintained, maybe next time!! This house is a 10/10”
The eco pod is designed for compact eco friendly living . Experience the no waste - energy saving - cost effective living in the country side . This is glamping at its best . There is no local transport , so its necessary to travel by car. No pets ..
“Myself and my daughter stayed for 3 nights in this pod in August. It was bigger than I expected (feels more spacious than it looks in the photos), had a very comfy bed and had everything we needed. There was a kettle, cups, dishes and a table to eat at which I hadn't expected. We had a lovely stay and used the pod as a base to travel to Clare (cliffs of Moher and the Burren) as well as into Galway. Very good value accommodation.”
