The modern cabin from 2022 is located in the beach zone on Herlandsneset at the end of Atløy in Askvoll Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane. The plot is sunny with panoramic sea views that can be enjoyed from the cabin's hot tub. There is a fabulous view from the cabin towards the island of Kinn in the northwest, a landmark and the area is known as a sailing landmark along the coast. To the southwest you can see the well-known viewpoint Brurastakken and the popular hiking island Alden also called Norske Hesten. With the cabin's motorboat you can travel there and to Værlandet and Bulandet.

The common guill thrives on an islet just off the coast and can often be spotted while we’re enjoying our morning coffee. The cabin has two bedrooms and a loft that can be converted into sleeping spaces. It also features an open-plan, airy kitchen-living room. If you’re looking for an active holiday, there are plenty of hiking trails near the cabin.

The cabin is located close to the Flekke and Guddalvassdraget, known for good salmon fishing in the summer, and Hovlandsvannet where you can get nice trout. This recently modernized cabin is located in Hellevika in Fjaler, just 50 meters from the fjord. The original part is an Ål cabin from the 1970s, while the extension with bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was recently completed. The plot is sunny with a great view of the Dalsfjord and the sea gap. In the photos in the listing, you can see among other things the popular hiking destination Alden, also called "Den Norske Horse". In summer, there are many great swimming areas nearby, including on the pier just below the cabin.

Nearest supermarked is in Naustdal, 12 km from the cabin, and a local cafe is 5 min away. Self service farm shop. Free WiFi. Motorboat for rent (summer season).

The cabin has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The cabin is situated right by the ocean where you can go swiming or fishing. Boat available for rent from september 2026. The cabin has everything a family with kids and babies need.

The old schoolhouse

Welcome to the old schoolhouse at Vassenden in Sørbøvåg, the place of peace and quiet. The old schoolhouse was used as a school for the surrounding villages, from 1910-1959. In recent times, the house has received a significant upgrade and we spend a lot of time here ourselves. The house is beautifully situated, right next to a lake and in the middle of beautiful mountains.
