There is also a swimming pool with stunning views of the enchanted valley and an outdoor jacuzzi, available year-round. The silence of the day is broken at night by the croaking of frogs, the chirping of crickets, and the water flowing in the fountain.

Forest house in a century-old farm in the Douro region between monasteries of the Cistercian order, Roman bridges and numerous river beaches. Here you can walk under the canopy of the trees to the Carlota Waterfall. There are four hectares of well-preserved private native forest composed of oaks, old pine forest, chestnut trees, walnut cherry trees and vineyards. Nearby is the monastery of Salzedas, which you can walk to, or the fortified bridge of Ucanha, where you can taste the best dishes in the region.

There are two restaurants in the village itself that you can walk to. There are good walking trails nearby. You can visit monuments, enjoy beautiful scenery and taste delicious regional delicacies within the municipality of Tarouca. We are 15 minutes from the Douro Demarcated Region.
