Relax with your friends, your whole family or even by yourself in our beautifuly updated, spacious yet cozy & peaceful piece of heaven. We are an accessible, family friendly, well-stocked hideaway in the country that has super quick access to all restaurants / shopping and other city amenities. If you need a date that is blocked or a short stay, please ask. We sometimes block dates for repeat guests and friends that may change. Tiny house is on site to rent for extra guests when available.

Historic Loblolly Lodge at Ratcliff Lake

The Loblolly Lodge was built by Frank Taylor as a gathering place for his family around 1940. Remodeled in 2018, it now boasts of all the modern conveniences for a great getaway. With 2400sf of indoor living space & a 640sf covered back porch there is plenty of space for several families. The Lodge is nestled on 11 private wooded acres adjacent to Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area in the Davy Crockett National Forest which offers fishing, swimming, picnicking, and hiking for a small entrance fee.

Staying here is like a visiting your Mamaw's house. It's simple, old fashioned decor is family friendly. The big front porch is a perfect place to sit with your coffee and watch the birds and butterflies, which are plentiful. Located adjacent to the Davy Crockett National Forest, we also have many deer and other critters in the woods behind the house. There are no visible neighbors, access is by a dirt road. Star gazing here is amazing! It's also only 30 minutes to either Crockett or Lufkin.

A little heaven , tucked away at the back of 3 acres at back of our property. Cal and Carolyns little efficiency apt stays booked almost year round. Exceptionally clean and has every thing you need for a short weekend or an extended stay. Eff has full size kitchen and washer and dryer. It has two seating areas outside, one is covered and one under the stars and ambience lights around firepit. There is two grills provided, one gas and one charcoal to suit you. Sip your favorite beverage rocking on the enormous porch while your steaks are cooking on the grill. At night you can gather around the lower fire pit and stargaze. It is unlikely you will encounter anyone unless you venture out for walk down to one of the neighboring farms. The cottage has super high speed internet. Make video calls without buffering.

20 acres of relaxation in the piney woods of East Texas. Easily accessible from all directions. This is not a place to exert a lot of energy unless you'd like to visit my firewood splitting department. (I may knock a few dollars off the price if you do!) Owners house is next door, Grill, smoker, fire pit, and additional outdoor shower. Pond is stocked with perch. Beautiful walking trails. Golf cart is onsite but availability may be limited. Private Cozy Cottage with full kitchen, bathroom, W/D in unit, living area, fenced in back porch & grill. Cottage is in city of Lufkin and close to shopping, dinning, medical facilities and churches. Great location close enough to everything. This is a separate Guest House on same property with our home. You have complete privacy. If you need dates that are blocked, or shorter stays please ask. We block dates for repeat Guest, Family, Friends.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. This is a 1950’s home that has been completely renovated. 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. This was my best friend’s childhood home and we bought it after her Mom died. The house sits on a little over an acre of land, a big beautiful oak tree provides lots of shade in the front.
