The original character and the Cretan traditional architecture have been preserved and taken under serious consideration during renovation. The village is a great base to explore a lot of outstanding places and beaches such as Plakias (25 minutes away by car), Damnoni, Moni Preveli, Rodakino, Frangokastello, Hora Sfakion and Rethimno.
