By car, you'll find: - In 5 minutes, Guincho beach, very popular surfing (with surf schools); - In 10 min., Cascais, charming little village full of restaurants, stores and bars that cater to all tastes and needs; - In 15 min., Sintra, Unesco World Heritage Site, one of the best places to visit, especially the 'old village' and Palaces (Palácio Nacional da Pena, Palácio Nacional de Sintra, among others). - In 30 min., Lisbon. You can use the highway (A5 Cascais-Lisboa) or you can go by train from Cascais. Once in the city, you can use the subway. The Shelter is rented for a minimum of 3 nights. Casa da Encosta is located in the picturesque Aldeia do Penedo, on the hills of Sintra facing the Atlantic. The nearby beaches (Adraga, Praia Grande, Praia das Maçãs and others) are just 5 km away. This two bedroom house (plus a mezzanine) dates from the 1930’s and was passionately renovated in 2023 by Katrin Kaasa and Duarte Amaral Netto, your hosts. The house maintains the spirit of a cabin (low ceiling in the kitchen and some doors) but was carefully designed for comfort and stylish details.
